Frequently Asked Questions

Certifications & Compliance

Is Civic Supply fire hose certified?

Yes — all of it. Every Civic Supply fire hose, from STRIKELINE attack line to PRIMELINE supply hose, is NFPA compliant and ULC listed. Certification details and ratings are on each product page.

Are your nozzles NFPA compliant?

Yes. Our SELECT selectable-flow nozzles are built to NFPA nozzle performance standards. Full specs are on each nozzle's product page.

Do you provide documentation for procurement and compliance review?

Yes. We can supply certification, specification, and compliance details to support your purchasing and approval process. Email info@civicsupply.ca with what your department or finance team needs.

Where is Civic Supply equipment made?

Civic Supply is a firefighter-owned Canadian brand. Our equipment is designed in Canada and manufactured primarily in Korea and China, then supplied to the Canadian market — municipal and forestry firefighting.

Fire Hose

What sizes of fire hose do you carry?

STRIKELINE double-jacket attack hose comes in 1.5", 1.75", and 2.5". PRIMELINE nitrile supply hose is 4" with Storz couplings. Each size is spec'd on its product page (material, coupling, ratings).

What's the difference between attack hose and supply hose?

Attack hose (STRIKELINE, 1.5"–2.5") runs from the pump to the nozzle for fire attack. Supply hose (PRIMELINE, 4") moves large volumes of water from the source to the pump. Match the size to the role.

Is your attack hose double-jacket?

Yes. STRIKELINE is a double-jacket construction built for abrasion resistance and durability on the fireground, with a green centre stripe for identification.

Nozzles

What type of nozzles does Civic Supply sell?

SELECT selectable-flow (gallonage) nozzles in 1.5" and 2.5". The operator selects flow at the nozzle, so one nozzle covers a range of GPM settings.

Which nozzle size do I need?

Match the nozzle to the attack line: 1.5" nozzle for 1.5"/1.75" hose, 2.5" nozzle for 2.5" hose. If you're unsure, email info@civicsupply.ca with your line size and we'll confirm.

Fittings, Adapters & Thread Compatibility

What thread types do your adapters cover?

We stock aluminum adapters across BAT, Storz, and NPSH threads — the systems used across Canadian municipal and forestry firefighting. Examples: 4" Storz to 2.5" male BAT, 2.5" BAT to BAT (male and female), and 2.5" BAT to 1.5" NPSH adapters.

Do you carry BAT thread fittings?

Yes. BAT (British Columbia / Alberta forestry thread) adapters are a core part of our fittings range, including BAT-to-Storz and BAT-to-NPSH conversions for interface between municipal and forestry equipment.

How do I know which adapter I need?

Identify the two thread types and sizes you're connecting (e.g., 2.5" male BAT to 1.5" female NPSH). Each adapter product page states both ends. Not sure? Email info@civicsupply.ca and we'll match it for you.

Ordering & Purchase Orders

Do you sell to fire departments and municipalities on purchase order?

Yes — that's our core business. Civic Supply works directly with fire departments, municipalities, regional districts, and government agencies, with a formal RFQ → Quotation → Purchase Order process built for municipal purchasing requirements.

How do I request a quote?

Add items to your cart and press "Request a quote," or email info@civicsupply.ca with your products, quantities, and delivery address. We issue a formal quotation with pricing, specs, taxes, and estimated lead times, valid 30 days.

Can I get a proforma invoice for budget approval?

Yes. If your finance department needs a formal document to finalize budget or generate a PO, we can issue a proforma invoice on request.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit card (Visa, Mastercard), EFT / direct deposit, and cheque payable to Civic Supply.

Do you offer Net 30 terms?

Yes. Net 30 accounts are available automatically to municipalities and government agencies. Businesses can apply for Net 30 on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval (we may request trade or credit references). Contact info@civicsupply.ca before your first order to set this up.

How quickly do you respond to procurement inquiries?

We aim to respond to all quote and PO inquiries within one business day. For urgent or emergency equipment needs, flag it in your email subject line.

Shipping & Availability

Do you ship across Canada?

Yes. Civic Supply is a Canadian B2B supplier and ships nationwide to departments and businesses.

Is your equipment in stock?

Our fire hose, nozzles, and fittings are stocked in Canada and ship promptly. Estimated delivery timing is confirmed on your quotation for larger or PO-based orders.

Can I buy without a purchase order?

Yes. For a quick purchase, use "Add to Cart" and check out by credit card directly on any product page. The formal PO process is there when your organization requires it.

What warranty does Civic Supply offer?

Civic Supply warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship: fire hose is covered 10 years (plus a lifetime warranty against inner-liner delamination), nozzles 5 years, and fittings and adapters 1 year. Wear items and damage from misuse are excluded. To start a claim, email info@civicsupply.ca with proof of purchase and photos before returning anything. Full terms: Return & Refund Policy.
